Man Cup has been talking with various racers up and down our World Finals roster and we can’t wait to see them all battle it out this weekend. There is an extremely close points battle going on in the Wiseco Street Fighter class that we need to keep and eye on this weekend.
Jeremy Burt sitting in 1st with 193 points is trying to keep Roy Johnson at bay who is right behind him at 190 points. Both of these racers are experienced, focused and determined to get the event win and see where the points end up. We spoke with Roy Johnson early this week but lets have a quick talk with…
Jeremey “Wildchild” Burt
“I’m super excited for the Man Cup Finals and can’t wait! It is going to be a close one for sure and I can’t be more happier with the talented field I’ve gone up against this year. I’d have to give a shout out to my dad Bob Burt, Mom Tina Burt, uncle Roger Burt, good friend and fellow racer Josh Ward and all the Burt Brothers Racing team that raised me.”
Of course we did ask …
“Wildchild how did that come about?”
“Wildchild came from way way back in the day when I was drag racing street bikes and Street ET. When I was 15 years old in National Trail raceway in Ohio one of our good friends Phil Freeland was giving nicknames to other racers. I was always out there since I was a little kid riding my dirt bike doing tricks and stunts and always hanging out at the parties with my dad and uncle. I was always there just acting a fool and he had found it appropriate to call me Wildchild and it has always stuck.” – Jeremey “Wildchild” Burt
